Meet the Team

Tom
I am a people person and pride myself on being friendly, approachable and knowledgeable in my areas of expertise. I love meeting new people and helping them to achieve their health-related lifestyle goals, tailoring sessions at the right intensity with a relaxed feel within a welcoming environment. I have worked in Sports & Leisure since the age of 15. I started work as a Lifeguard and Football Coach and have since held the roles of Gym Instructor, Personal Trainer, Project Coordinator, Sports Development Officer, Sports Coach and now Health Activator. I love sports, particularly football, and I regularly train in the gym with my focus being on resistance training to keep me strong as I age.
My specialist areas include working with members of the public with specific long-term health needs in a variety of different settings, including gyms, outdoors, exercise classes and nutritional guidance. I am a qualified health coach, so I can offer advice and guidance on how to assist positive health behaviour change.
Amy
I have worked for Pendle Leisure Trust for over 12 years in various roles. I originally started with the Sports Development team and for the last 5 years have worked for the Up and Active team as the Healthy Weight Lead Co-ordinator. Within this role, I have created and delivered our Eat Well, Keep Well Weight Management Programme for adults, as well as a more recent program, Eat Well, Play Well, for healthier families.
My hobbies include keeping fit, going for swims, runs and working out in the gym. My biggest passion is spending time with my little girl and family, as well as socialising with friends. It’s important to have a balanced lifestyle.
With 5 years in the fitness industry and a background in engineering, I’ve gained extensive knowledge, including training with fitness influencer Jack Eagles, who coached me for my bodybuilding show. I believe fitness builds a resilient, consistent mindset that enhances life both in and out of the gym, supporting a longer, healthier life.
My specialist areas are Strength Training, Olympic Weightlifting, and Functional Training.

Dan
I have spent the last 8 years in the fitness industry, from managing within a commercial gym to being face-to-face on the gym floor with clients as a personal trainer, to my current role as a health activator working with specific clients. This means that I have picked up extensive knowledge over the years, learning about the industry from different points of view. I am very much a people person and have always been approachable and forthcoming to meeting new people and helping them achieve their goals.
Fitness is a crucial part of general health and wellbeing; it helps to create a routine, keep the body healthy and strong, which in turn helps to support a longer, healthier lifestyle.
Having the ability to help people improve their fitness and well-being is something I hold highly. Meeting all of the inspirational people who challenge themselves and make improvements to their health makes it a great experience for me.
My specialist areas are Exercise Referral, Strength & Balance training, Falls prevention, Strength Training, and Functional Training.
Fiona
I have been a part of Pendle Leisure Trust for over 3 years, having done multiple roles. I started off in Sports Development before moving to the Healthy Weight Co-ordinator role I currently hold. My current role is focused on supporting people to lose weight. I’m also the Pendle Hub Adviser, which involves having the initial conversation with people who wish to refer to our Up & Active programmes.
I enjoy keeping myself active, whether that be in the gym, doing gymnastics or going on walks. I also love spending time with my friends and family and travelling to new places.
